CHRONIC PROCRASTINATOR?
Are you one of those who have always been a procrastinator? Is this just a part of your identity and there is no way to change it?
It’s crucial to understand:
How you identify yourself and how you identify your life will affect how you show up in it.
So, when you hear yourself saying:
I’m really busy
It’s always been like that
That’s just the way I am
These words affect your productivity and what you’re able to do in the world. They PUT A CAP on what’s possible for you.
How about, stop defending an identity that is no longer serving you and start thinking about who you would like to be moving forward?
We are blessed with endless possibilities to change. If there is something in your life that you don’t currently like - CHANGE IT!
Strat practising being the future version of you who is producing the result that you are aiming for. The more you practise being her, the closer to that version you will get until one day you are her.
Work on overcoming the identity that no longer serve you, instead of defending it as if it was worth keeping.
For me it used to be: I’m dyslexic.
I thought I was just telling the truth. Until one day in my kitchen I heard Jim Kwik saying: If you defend your beliefs, you will keep them.
That’s when I realised that I was defending my belief so hard of being dyslexic instead of working on improving my reading and spelling.
This epiphany completely changed my life.
No more excuses - It was time to make an active choice and focus more on my goal more than the obstacles standing in the way.
Which identity are you holding on to?
