EMOTIONAL CHILDHOOD
When you are BLAMING something EXTERNAL (your job, your spouse, a client, your inbox) for how you feel - you are stuck in EMOTIONAL CHILDHOOD.
Emotional childhood is when you don’t take responsibility for how you feel.
Remember your THOUGHTS create your FEELINGS.
So it’s not what happens that causes you to feel - it’s your THINKING about the situation that generates your emotions.
You might think:
What is wrong with blaming others for how I feel?
It’s not wrong but I want you to be AWARE of the RESULT it creates in your life.
Blaming others leaves you:
Powerless
Dependant
Leading you to try to control or change something external (usually other people) in order for you to feel better internally.
Take your power back by taking full responsibility for how you feel AKA creating your own emotions.
