THE IMPORTANCE OF DIRECTIONS
Many times we are so fixated on growing and evolving. We practise and practise. Rinsing and repeating. Enhancing our skills but we miss to reflect on what it is that we become better at.
We are so focused on moving forward that we sometimes forget to check if the direction in which we are going (sometimes running) is actually the direction of our goals.
We dislike being a new beginner, of feeling like we are on step one. Especially if we have become masters at our current practice.
But if the ladder which you are climbing leans on the “wrong” wall, climbing it 2, 3 or 4 steps more will not take you closer to where you want to go. Quite the opposite.
In order to get closer to your goal, you first need to make sure the ladder leans on the “correct” wall. Then start climbing one step at the time.
